About the artist
Scottish-Indian guitarist Samrat Majumder is completing his Konzertexamen at the Robert Schumann Hochschule, Düsseldorf, under Prof. Alexander Ramirez, following an MMus (cum laude) from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and a first-class BMus from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he received the 2020 Governors Recital Prize for Strings.
In 2025 he became a Young Classical Artists Trust artist, the first YCAT 40th Anniversary Artist and a joint YCAT and Concert Artists Guild artist. The Classical Guitar Ambassador for the RCS, he performs on guitars by English luthier Michael Gee and is a D'Addario Artist.
