About the artist
Formed at the encouragement of their mentor Manuel Barrueco, Beijing Guitar Duo, Meng Su and Yameng Wang, united two guitarists who had separately won the Tokyo International Guitar Competition and studied with Prof. Chen Zhi at Beijing's Central Conservatory. After completing studies at the Peabody Conservatory, the duo made their Carnegie Hall debut in 2009 and released an album nominated for a Latin Grammy. They have since performed at the Concertgebouw, Palau de Música Catalana, and Tchaikovsky Hall, collaborating with the Grigoryan Brothers, Marina Piccinini, and Manuel Barrueco.
